On September 8th, several Logistics Plus employees conquered the 2018 Barber Beast on the Bay. Congratulations to everyone who participated and completed the challenging 10-mile obstacle course. Barber Beast on the Bay is a fundraising event to help support the Barber National Institute and its work with children and adults with disabilities.
Logistics Plus is being featured with a cover story in the September 2018 edition of Business Magazine, a monthly publication of the Manufacturer & Business Association. Business Magazine covers the most compelling business issues facing employers today. As the only monthly business-to-business publication in the tri-state region, the Business Magazine serves as a critical information tool for employers located throughout northwest Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. Each month, the publication highlights an in-depth member company story. This month they are featuring Logistics Plus as an updated follow-up to past cover stories from January 2015 and August 2006. In the article Logistics Plus founder and CEO Jim Berlin explains why “LP” is one of the fastest-growing transportation and logistics companies, a reputable supply chain partner, top freight broker, a leading project cargo manager, as well as a certified “Great Place to Work.”
Logistics Plus appeared, again, in today’s August edition of Lake Erie Lifestyles magazine, a monthly publication circulated by Erie Times-News and GoErie.com. The theme of the entire issue is “community” and “giving back” – two concepts shared by the employees of Logistics Plus. As owner and CEO, Jim Berlin, says on page 5 of the magazine, “I’ve always found that people here are eager to give back if given the opportunity. I appreciate that about our team and want to give them as many opportunities as I can to contribute to this community that we all care about so much.” A reprint of the story is shown below (and will later appear online at www.goerie.com/lifestyle/lake-erie-lifestyle.

Last night, Logistics Plus joined Erie Times-News, and many others, to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the 2017-2018 All-Area high school student athletes at the annual Best of Varsity Cup Awards at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. The awards banquet is a way of saying thank you to the thousands of outstanding high school athletes, coaches and fans who allow Erie Times-News (GoErie.com) to share their stories, performances and passions. As a presenting sponsor for the event, Logistics Plus had a number of employees present, as well as our special guests from the Barber National Institute. We had the additional honor of presenting Fairview’s Liam Finnecy with the Comeback Player of the Year Award in recognition of his amazing story. The evening included a nice dinner, awards ceremony, and presentation by Pittsburgh Steelers great, Hines Ward. The following video message from Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus, was shown at the beginning of the ceremony. Additional photographs from the Logistics Plus Flickr Album are also included below.
Here is some additional audio clips by Scott Frederick, vp of marketing for Logistics Plus, as aired on WPSE AM 1450/FM 107.1 Radio.
