Logistics Plus Sponsors the Swing for Freedom Golf Invitational

Logistics Plus was once again a proud sponsor of the NDIA Swing for Freedom Golf Invitational held in Washington, D.C. The annual golf outing is hosted by the Washington, D.C. chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and benefits the USO-Metro. Since 1941, the United Service Organization has served as the vital bridge between Americans and their military service members.

As seen in the image below, Ryan Markiewicz, Blaine Kurtz, and Mike Callan (from L-R) represented Logistics Plus in the outing.  The team tied for second place by shooting 12 under par. More importantly, the team had a great time supporting this vital cause.

Logistics Plus Completes Steam Turbine Air Charter

The Logistics Plus Project Cargo team completed an air charter project from Brno, Czech Republic, to Karaman, Turkey. Our team handled a 72 metric ton (158,730 lbs.) steam turbine and its accessories using an AN-124 aircraft specifically designed to handle oversized cargo. The cargo was transported from Brno airport to Istanbul airport and ultimately safely delivered to the job site in Turkey by truck.

Logistics Plus Global Projects Director Bahadir Erdil commented on this project. “This air charter took an extreme amount of teamwork to complete. By constantly communicating with all parties involved, we were able to get the job done efficiently. I couldn’t be more proud.”
