FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logistics Plus Opens New 1.1 Million Square Foot Phoenix Warehouse

The new warehouse is next to the company’s existing 543 thousand square foot Phoenix facility.

Logistics Plus Opens New 1.1 Million Square Foot Phoenix WarehouseERIE, PA (December 15, 2022) – Logistics Plus, Inc. (LP), a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is pleased to announce the opening of a new 1.1 million square foot warehouse in the greater Phoenix area. The new warehouse, located at the NEC Loop 303 and Bethany Home Road intersection in Glendale, Arizona, is adjacent to the 543 thousand square foot warehouse Logistics Plus opened earlier in the year.

Logistics Plus now has 18 fully managed commercial warehouses in the U.S., comprising 5 million square feet of storage space. The company also manages many additional virtual and commercial warehouses worldwide.

The new “LP PHX 2” warehouse is in a growing industrial development region northwest of Phoenix. The facility features quick freeway access, 395 trailer stalls, and 40-foot ceilings and is only a six-hour drive from the Los Angeles/Long Beach ports. Tom Kelly, Regional Director of Sales and Operations for Logistics Plus, will oversee the move-in and ongoing management of the operation, in addition to the company’s other Phoenix and four southern California warehouses.

“As other logistics companies slow down or reduce their warehousing footprints, we are doubling down to meet the current and future needs of our customers,” said Yuriy Ostapyak, COO for Logistics Plus. “We still see strong demand for our commercial warehousing solutions in key verticals, and we expect that growth to continue. Our new, second Phoenix warehouse will allow us to keep pace with that growth.”

Earlier this week, Multichannel Merchant named Logistics Plus a 2023 Top 3PL for e-commerce warehousing and fulfillment solutions. View a map of all Logistics Plus U.S. warehouses at www.logisticsplus.com/warehouse-map.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logistics Plus Named a 2023 Top 3PL by Multichannel Merchant

It’s the sixth consecutive year Logistics Plus has been named to the list.

2023 Top 3PL by Multichannel MerchantERIE, PA (December 13, 2022) – Logistics Plus, Inc. (LP), a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce it has been named to the Multichannel Merchant (MCM) 2023 Top 3PL Directory. For a sixth straight year, Logistics Plus will be joining dozens of other leading third-party logistics providers selected by Multichannel Merchant in its eighth annual directory.

After researching candidates across the industry and reviewing submissions from providers, Multichannel Merchant identified top companies, both generalists and specialists, offering a range of valuable services and deep expertise. 3PL providers have reported increased interest and adoption from retailers of all kinds, many of whom are quickly realizing that their internal resources are not up to the task of handling order fulfillment and logistics at scale.

“Choosing the right 3PL for your business can lead to lower cost per order, rapid scaling, a larger footprint and coverage, faster time to customer, and so much more,” said Mike O’Brien, Senior Content Manager of Multichannel Merchant. “Each company in our directory has been selected based on its industry experience, services offered, performance, and range of capabilities.”

The company profiles in the MCM Top 3PL directory include vital information to help you in the selection process, including key services offered, average annual client order volume, top three merchandise categories handled, facility locations, and more. It also breaks out the percentage of the continental U.S. covered based on days in transit to end customers, a critical differentiator for merchants. The directory is available throughout the year.

“With over five million square feet of warehousing in the U.S. alone, and more abroad, we support complete omnichannel fulfillment solutions, including B2B, wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels such as FBA, FBM, and dozens of other marketplaces and shopping carts,” said Danny Yunes, head of global operations and strategy. “We are honored that Multichannel Merchant continues to acknowledge Logistics Plus as a top 3PL provider in the competitive, growing e-commerce space.”

Logistics Plus Supports Ahr Valley Flood Relief

Logistics Plus Supports Ahr Valley Flood Relief

As the racing season ended in Germany, Logistics Plus Global Director of Sales (Marine & Motorsport Logistics) Jennifer Elstone took a moment to reflect on a recent benefit event she attended. As you may have heard, the Arhtal floods in July 2021 were a terrible tragedy that killed more than 220 people in Europe. The floods affected hundreds of people in Germany and Belgium, along with creating extensive damage in the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland.

After the VLN race finished at Nurburgring this year, Jennifer was invited to attend the Arhtal floods benefit to honor those who lost their lives and to mark the ongoing redevelopment that is still happening in the region. This benefit was organized by The Heizer Monkeys (friends of Jennifer), EiFelkind Racing, and Opel Motorsport in the Adenau town center. Logistics Plus was happy to donate $1,000 to this great cause.

Jennifer said, “Logistics Plus is happy to be involved and contribute to this cause. Many thanks to The Heizer Monkeys and everyone who helped arrange this benefit to support people affected by this tragedy.”

A recap of the event can be seen below or on the Logistics Plus YouTube Channel.

The Heizer Monkeys band manager shared the below message about the benefit and what it means to the band:

ahr valley flood relief

The Heizer Monkeys are an international rock band, but their life in motorsport means they have always loved the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany. They have a deep connection with the Eifel and Ahrtal region. Seeing the media coverage of the devastating and tragic floods around the river Ahr of 2021 led lead singer Joey to go out to the Ahrtal region to volunteer. After a day digging ditches with the army, Joey was asked to go from rest station to rest station and give dozens of short solo concerts over several days to firefighters, soldiers, medics, civil guard workers, and volunteers, exhausted from their ceaseless work in the disaster zone. Joey, of course also when asked also performed for residents who had been going through the trauma of trying to rebuild their own homes.

When he returned home to the UK after some weeks, still holding a heavy sense of what he had seen and felt, he wrote down what he saw – the story of the shock, the anger, the sadness but also the compassion, hope, and solidarity – people coming from around Germany and even further to help strangers. He read the phrase You Ahr Not Alone in a WhatsApp helpers’ group, and he couldn’t shake it from his mind. You AHR Not Alone became the title of the song. With the help of Depeche Mode drummer and producer Christian Eigner, The Heizer Monkeys went to work to record it. And so an anthem of hope for the Ahrtal was born.

Over a year later in November 2022, The Heizer Monkeys returned to the region to perform a benefit concert for the Ahrtal close to their beloved Nurburgring. The event was advertised by regional community leaders Markus Wipperfurth and Azubi Wilhelm Hartmann, as well as representatives of the different major local charity organizations, including the Spenden Shuttle charity, which distributes donations from around the world where they are most needed. People came to the concert from all over the region and from the world of motorsport to show support, even from Eifelkind, the local race team which fundraises for good local causes in the Nurburgring race paddock.

The band closed out this emotional evening with an extended version of You AHR Not Alone. The crowd lit candles to remember the dead but also sang the words to the song along with the band, giving it a new meaning – please do not forget us.
