Logistics Plus China Moves Industrial Press

On behalf of its principal Stute Verkehrs, Logistics Plus China has managed the receipt, storage, and delivery to Changzhou job site of an industrial press, totaling 2600 freight tons, including some units of over 90 metric tons.

Some highlights of the project:

  • LP China advised the customer to change the port of discharge to Jiangyin because of unsafe storage conditions in Changzhou port 2. days after the change was made, there was a fire in Changzhou port
  • LP China managed to have a customer vessel berth September 27th ahead of 3 other vessels, thus avoiding the increased port charges coming into effect October 1st
  • LP China managed to finish customs clearance even before cargo finally discharged, thus avoiding cargo from being stuck during the National Holiday starting October 1st
  • Through careful planning, weekly meetings, and daily phone calls, LP China managed to adapt deliveries to the ever-changing needs of the job site without any waiting time or additional cost to the customer
  • LP China adhered strictly to job site HSE regulations, which is a rare feat in China

Overcoming Obstacles in Tarragona Spain

“This oversized cargo passed through the port of Tarragona, Spain before it could be delivered to the final site at the Tarragona facility of Dow Chemicals. Not an easy task: we had to pass via University land, had to clear the brush…and, as the main unit was 810 CM and 500 CM height (only 20 T!), we had to lift it three times over small gates and fences in order to deliver to the client.” Well done, Ivo and the team of Logistics Plus.
