Global Trade Alert: Miscellaneous Tariff Bill

The Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB) Act of 2018 was signed into law on September 13, 2018.  The MTB temporarily reduces or eliminates import tariffs on specific raw material and intermediate manufacturing products not available domestically here in the US, in the hope that US manufacturers will have a level playing field at sourcing manufacturing materials.

The tariff reductions and suspensions are effective for goods entered into the US or withdrawn from a warehouse for consumption on or after October 13, 2018, which is 30 days after the date of the enactment.  The suspensions and reductions will last until December 31, 2020.

Release The BeastOn September 8th, several Logistics Plus employees conquered the 2018 Barber Beast on the Bay. Congratulations to everyone who participated and completed the challenging 10-mile obstacle course. Barber Beast on the Bay is a fundraising event to help support the Barber National Institute and its work with children and adults with disabilities.
